Welcome to The Great Marsh Shellfish Co., located on the beautiful Rowley River in Rowley, Massachusetts. Our aquaculture farm is dedicated to producing high-quality, sustainably-grown oysters for both local and regional markets.
Nestled within the largest contiguous salt marsh in New England, The Great Marsh spans over 25,000 acres from the New Hampshire border to Cape Ann, Massachusetts. The farm is carefully situated to ensure minimal impact on our critically important estuarine ecosystems, while still providing ample space for a rich, biodiverse crop.
At The Great Marsh Shellfish Co., we take pride in our commitment to sustainable farming practices. Our shellfish are carefully grown and harvested to ensure both their health and the health of the surrounding environment. As we grow we stand to offer a variety of delicious shellfish, including oysters, soft shell clams, quahogs, scallops, razor clams, mussels, and surf clams. In addition, we can also produce seaweed such as kelp, which is becoming an increasingly popular and sustainable food source.
